# Grant

A grant is a discount on Yandex Cloud services provided to an individual entrepreneur, business, or individual. The discount amount is equal to the grant amount. The discount is applied to the total cost of the consumed services.

You cannot use grants to top up [personal accounts](personal-account.md).

Yandex Cloud can revoke the grant without explanation.

The currency of the cost of services depends on the agreement and the country of residence:
* For residents of Russia, the cost is represented in rubles (₽) and includes VAT.
* For residents of Kazakhstan the cost is represented in tenge(₸) and includes VAT.
* For non-residents of Russia and Kazakhstan, the cost is represented in US dollars ($) and does not include taxes and fees.


## Viewing your grants {#how-to-view}

You view your grants in Yandex Cloud Billing or in the management console widget.

Viewing is available to users with the `billing.accounts.viewer` [role](../security/index.md#billing-accounts-viewer) or higher for the billing account.

To access the management console, you need the `resource-manager.clouds.member` [role](../../resource-manager/security/index.md#resource-manager-clouds-member) or higher for the relevant [cloud](../../resource-manager/operations/cloud/set-access-bindings.md).

- Yandex Cloud Billing interface {#billing}

  1. Navigate to [**Yandex Cloud Billing**](https://center.yandex.cloud/billing/accounts).
  1. Select the billing account from the list.
  1. On the ![image](../../_assets/console-icons/flag.svg) **Account** page, under **Grants**, click ![image](../../_assets/console-icons/chevron-right.svg) **Show all**.
  1. On the **Pricing** page, the **Grants** tab shows all grants you received.

- Management console {#console}

  1. Open the [management console](https://console.yandex.cloud).
  1. In the top-right corner, click ![credit-card](../../_assets/console-icons/credit-card.svg).

  The widget that opens will display information about active grants. To view info on all your grants, click **Grants** ![image](../../_assets/console-icons/arrow-up-right-from-square.svg).

  To change the visibility of private data, use the ![image](../../_assets/console-icons/eye-slash.svg) and ![image](../../_assets/console-icons/eye.svg) buttons.

## Initial grant {#start}

The initial grant can be issued to an individual or single-owner legal entity only once. For example, if the grant is already issued to an individual, it will not be issued to their legal entity. You get your initial grant when [creating your first billing account](../quickstart/index.md) provided that you:

* Never purchased Yandex Cloud services before.
* Have not activated the [trial period](trial-period.md).


The grant amount and currency depend on your country of residence:


* For residents of Russia and tax residents of Belarus, the grant amount is at least ₽4,000, including VAT.
* For residents of Kazakhstan, the grant amount is at least ₸20,000, including VAT.
* For non-residents of Russia and Kazakhstan, the grant amount is at least $30, excluding taxes and fees.

Each individual, sole proprietor, or business can be given only one initial grant.

## Additional grants {#additional}

Additional grants can be provided on Yandex Cloud manager's decision or under a content program, referral program, or [Yandex Cloud Boost program](https://yandex.cloud/en/cloud-boost). You can view the amount of additional grants and their validity period in Yandex Cloud Billing.



## Using grants {#how-to-use}

Grants are prioritized based on their validity period: the earlier the expiration date, the sooner the grant is used.

If you have [grants](bonus-account.md), you can use them to cover the cost of using the committed services, including during the [CVoS](cvos.md) validity period. In this case, the discount on the use of the reserved amount of services will be applied first, and then the grant money will be spent.
