# Scheduled instance group scaling


In this tutorial, you will create a [Yandex Compute Cloud](../../index.md) [instance group](../../concepts/instance-groups/index.md) with a scheduled [scaling](../../concepts/instance-groups/scale.md). A [Yandex Cloud Functions](../../../functions/index.md) [function](../../../functions/concepts/function.md) triggered by a [timer](../../../functions/concepts/trigger/timer.md) will manage the instance group size.
