# Amazon SQS-compatible HTTP API

In limited mode, Data Streams supports data stream processing via an [Amazon SQS-compatible](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSSimpleQueueService/latest/SQSDeveloperGuide/welcome.html) protocol (SQS over Topics).
