To enable showing the table of contents in a dashboard:

{% note warning %}

If you use the new DataLens object model with [workbooks and collections](../../workbooks-collections/index.md):

1. In the left-hand panel, select ![collections](../../../_assets/console-icons/rectangles-4.svg) **Collections and workbooks**.
1. Open the workbook you need and select an object.

Proceed with this guide from Step 2.

{% endnote %}

1. In the left-hand panel, click ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/layout-cells-large.svg) **Dashboards** and select the dashboard you need. If you do not have a dashboard, [create one](create.md).
1. In the top-right corner, click **Edit**.
1. At the top of the screen, click ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/gear.svg). The settings window will open on the right.
1. In the settings window, enable **Table of contents**. All [titles](../../dashboard/widget.md#title) with the **Display in table of contents** option enabled, along with the names of all tabs, will be displayed in the table of contents on the left. When you click a title in the table of contents, the dashboard page automatically scrolls to the relevant section, and its hash gets added to the address bar. When you click a tab in the table of contents, the dashboard switches to that tab, and its hash gets added to the address bar.
1. In the top-right corner of the dashboard edit window, click **Save**.

To disable showing the table of contents in a dashboard, disable **Table of contents** in the dashboard settings.

In view mode, you can also show or hide the table of contents via the menu. Do it by clicking ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/ellipsis.svg) → ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/list-ul.svg) **Table of contents** at the top of the dashboard. After you refresh the page, the table of contents is one again displayed as per the **Table of contents** option in the settings.
