# Deleting an alias in Yandex DataLens

To delete an [alias](../../dashboard/link.md#alias):

If you use the new DataLens object model with [workbooks and collections](../../workbooks-collections/index.md):

1. In the left-hand panel, select ![collections](../../../_assets/console-icons/rectangles-4.svg) **Collections and workbooks**.
1. Open the workbook you need and select an object.

1. In the left-hand panel, click ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/layout-cells-large.svg) **Dashboards** and select the dashboard you need.
1. At the top of the page, click **Edit**.
1. Next to the widget to delete a link for, click ![image](../../../_assets/datalens/links.svg).

   1. In the list, hover over the widget you want to unlink and click ![image](../../../_assets/datalens/aliases.svg).
   1. In the window that opens, expand the **Added aliases** list and click ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/trash-bin.svg) next to the alias.
   1. Click **Apply**.
   1. In the **Links** window, click **Apply**.

1. In the top-right corner of the dashboard, click **Save**.

## Deleting a field from an alias {#delete-field}

To delete a field from an alias:

1. In the dashboard editing window, click ![image](../../../_assets/datalens/links.svg) next to the widget you want to delete an alias field for.

   1. In the list, hover over the widget you want to unlink and click ![image](../../../_assets/datalens/aliases.svg).
   1. In the window that opens, expand the **Added aliases** list and click the field you want to delete.
   1. Delete the field by clicking ![image](../../../_assets/datalens/cross.svg).
   1. Click **Apply**.
   1. In the **Links** window, click **Apply**.

1. In the top-right corner of the dashboard, click **Save**.
