# Deleting access permissions

Only a user with the `Administration` access can delete permissions for an object or folder: either by revoking a permission directly or by denying a request.

## Revoking permissions directly {#revoke}

To revoke folder or object permissions:

1. On the [navigation page](https://datalens.ru/navigation), find the folder or object of interest.

   You can filter objects by type using the navigation menu on the left.

1. Click ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/ellipsis.svg) next to the object or folder and select **Permissions**.
1. Select the user with the permission you want to revoke or choose the **All** group.
1. In the window that opens, click **Revoke permissions**.

## Denying a request {#reject-request}

To deny a [request](request.md) for access to a folder or object:

1. On the [navigation page](https://datalens.ru/navigation), find the folder or object of interest.

   You can filter objects by type using the navigation menu on the left.

1. Click ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/ellipsis.svg) next to the object or folder and select **Permissions**.
1. Next to the request you need, click **![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/ban.svg)**.
1. Optionally, write a comment for the user requesting access.
1. Click **Deny request**.
