# [Yandex DataLens] Invalid grouping configuration

`ERR.DS_API.INVALID_GROUP_BY_CONFIGURATION`

Invalid grouping configuration.

The error occurs in a **Table** chat that has the **Grouping** option disabled in its settings while a measure is added to the **Columns** section at the same time.

Use one of the methods below to resolve the error:

* Enable grouping in the chart's settings:

  1. Open the chart's settings. Do it by clicking ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/gear.svg) to the right of the chart type selector (**Table**) at the top of the widget.
  1. In the configuration window, enable **Grouping**.
  1. Click **Apply**.

* Remove the measure from the chart's **Columns** section.
