# Removing a user from a project

You can only remove a user if you have the `datasphere.community-projects.admin` role in the project or the `datasphere.communities.admin` role in the project community.

1. Select the project in your community or on the DataSphere [home page](https://datasphere.yandex.cloud) in the **Recent projects** tab.
1. Go to the **Members** tab.
1. Click ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/ellipsis.svg) next to the user and select **Remove**.
1. Click **Confirm**.
1. If you used a link to add this user, recreate it:
    * Click **Add member**.
    * At the bottom of the window that opens, click **Recreate invite link** ⟶ **Recreate link**.
