# Managing project labels

You can add and delete a project [label](../../../resource-manager/concepts/labels.md#services). Resources of a project inherit its labels.

Labels can be used to provide [usage details](../community/billing-details.md) for a specific project.

## Adding a label {#add-label}

1. Select the project in your community or on the DataSphere [home page](https://datasphere.yandex.cloud) in the **Recent projects** tab.

1. In the top-right corner, click **More** and select **Manage labels** from the drop-down list.
1. Click **Add label**.
1. Enter the key and value, and press **Enter**.
1. Click **Save**.

## Deleting a label {#delete-label}

1. Select the project in your community or on the DataSphere [home page](https://datasphere.yandex.cloud) in the **Recent projects** tab.

1. In the top-right corner, click **More** and select **Manage labels** from the drop-down list.
1. Click ![image](../../../_assets/console-icons/xmark.svg) to the right of the label.
1. Click **Save**.
