# Public IP address ranges in Yandex Cloud

For Yandex Cloud network resources, two types of public IP addresses are used:

* [Yandex Cloud resource IP addresses](#yandex-resource-ips) available to the customers, e.g., IP addresses of Compute Cloud VMs and database hosts.

* [IP addresses used by Yandex Cloud to enable its services](#yandex-cloud-ips), e.g., to record [audit logs](../../audit-trails/concepts/format.md) in Audit Trails.


## IP addresses of Yandex Cloud resources available to customers {#yandex-resource-ips}

For example, the resources assigned such IP address ranges are:

* Compute Cloud VMs
* DB hosts
* NAT instances
* Network Load Balancer and Application Load Balancer load balancers

### SmartCaptcha {#smartcaptcha-ips}

For SmartCaptcha to run correctly, enable access to the following IPs:

| IPv4             | IPv6                      |
| ---------------- | ------------------------- |
| `84.201.151.229` | `2a0d:d6c1::1a:0:0:0:20e` |

They serve to ensure an API request sent to `/validate` runs correctly.

These IP addresses cannot be assigned to user resources. They serve to ensure an API request sent to `/validate` works correctly.


### Smart Web Security {#sws-ips}

For Smart Web Security to run correctly, enable access to the following IPs:

| IPv4              |
| ----------------- |
| `46.243.212.0/24` |
| `194.247.51.0/24` |

Access to these addresses is required for traffic to flow from the SWS [proxy server](../../smartwebsecurity/concepts/domain-protect.md#proxy) to target resources.

#### DSPM {#dspm}

For the DSPM module to function correctly when controlling Object Storage bucket access using [policies](../../storage/security/policy.md#conditional-writes-policy), you must allow access to the specified IP addresses in the policy settings:

## IP addresses used by Yandex Cloud for its services {#yandex-cloud-ips}

The following IP address ranges are assigned to the resources that support Yandex Cloud operation:

| `2a02:6b8::/32`    |
| `2a0d:d6c0::/29`   |



These IP address ranges are not available to users.
