# Editing a deal

In a deal, you can edit the following sections:

1. Availability of [partner tools](../../program/var-tools.md).
1. Deal status: `In process`, `Won`, or `Loss`.
1. General information: Name, type, account, subaccount, and description.
1. Forecast: Amount, consumption type, number of users, total user potential for the customer, and closing period.

## Editing a deal status {#edit-status}

You can change the deal status from `In process` to `Won` or `Loss`.

If the your project goals are met, close the deal as `Won`:

1. Click **Won**.
1. Confirm the successful closing of the deal.

If your deal falls through, set its status to `Loss`:

1. Click **Loss**.
1. Select the reason for the loss from the list.
1. Confirm the closing of the deal.

## Editing deal parameters {#edit-parameters}

You can modify the **General information** and **Forecast** sections. To edit these deal parameters in the Partner portal:

  1. Go to the [partner portal](https://partners.yandex.cloud/).
  1. In the left-hand panel, select ![icon](../../../_assets/console-icons/briefcase.svg) **Deals**.
  1. Click the row with the deal you want to edit to open the deal info page. On this page, all sections are available for editing.
  1. To start editing a section, click ![icon](../../../_assets/console-icons/pencil.svg).
