# Deal management guides

There are three types of deals: [deals](../../program/var-tools.md#deal-reg), [scheduled deals](../../program/var-tools.md#tender), and [projects](../../program/var-tools.md#project-reg). Follow the links in the listed sections for information on deal registration conditions.

## Creating a deal on the Partner portal {#deal-create}

If the deal meets the criteria, create it on the **Partner portal**:

1. Create a deal by following [this guide](create-deal.md). The amount you indicate must meet the conditions.
1. Open your new deal and use the deal registration tool as per [this guide](../deal-registration.md).
1. Track the deal registration status in the ![icon](../../../_assets/console-icons/list-timeline.svg) **Activities** section.
1. Update the [deal status](edit.md#edit-status) as its objectives get achieved.


## Creating a deal on the Partner portal {#tender-create}

If the project meets the criteria, create it on the **Partner portal**:

1. Create a project by following [this guide](create-project.md). The amount you indicate must meet the conditions.
1. Open your new project and use the project registration tool as per [this guide](../project-registration.md).
1. Track the project registration status in the ![icon](../../../_assets/console-icons/list-timeline.svg) **Activities** section.
1. Update the [deal status](edit.md#edit-status) for the project as its goals get achieved.
