# Running an endpoint scan in Vulnerability Management (VM)

To run an endpoint scan, you need the `vulnerability-manager.editor` [role](../../security/vm-roles.md#vulnerability-manager-editor) or higher.

To run an endpoint scan:

- Security Deck UI {#cloud-sd}

  1. Go to [Yandex Security Deck](https://center.yandex.cloud/security/).
  1. In the left-hand panel, select ![sd-vm-icon](../../../_assets/security-deck/sd-vm-icon.svg) **Vulnerability management**.
  1. At the top of the window, select the correct [workspace](../../concepts/workspace.md).
  1. Navigate to the **Scan schedules** tab.
  1. In the schedule row, click ![ellipsis](../../../_assets/console-icons/ellipsis.svg) and select ![arrow-rotate-right](../../../_assets/console-icons/arrow-rotate-right.svg) **Run now**.
  1. In the window that opens, confirm running the scan.

This will run a new scan, and you will be able to [view](view-scan-results.md) its results on the **Scans** tab.
