# Technical support pricing

Currency of Service rates (prices) depends on the company you made a contract with:
* Prices in US dollars are applicable to customers of Iron Hive doo Beograd (Serbia) or Direct Cursus Technology L.L.C. (Dubai).
* Prices in Russian roubles are applicable to customers of Yandex.Cloud LLC.

## Prices for the Russia region {#prices}

Your payment currency is determined by your contracting legal entity. For more information on creating an account, see [Registering an account in Yandex Cloud](../billing/quickstart/index.md).

The cost depends on the service plan you choose, which covers your organization and can only be changed by its owner or administrator. You can use one billing account to pay for technical support of multiple organizations that may have different support service plans. For the services available under various plans, see [Requesting technical support](overview.md).

The support cost is calculated based on the [cost of consumed paid resources](../billing/pricing.md). If a billing account is awarded a [grant](../billing/concepts/bonus-account.md), it will be counted towards payment for the support plan.

### Basic {#base}

The basic service plan is provided to all Yandex Cloud users at no charge. It is suitable for personal and research projects.

### Business {#business}

This plan is good for business projects requiring 24/7 support.

The cost is made up of the fixed and the percentage part. The percentage part is calculated several times per day based on the volume of consumed resources. For information on your consumption and charges, refer to Yandex Cloud Billing [usage details](../billing/operations/check-charges.md).

The price is calculated based on the fixed part and your consumption in the current reporting period (calendar month). To calculate the fixed part, use [our calculator](https://yandex.cloud/en/prices#calculator) or read about the calculation methods in the sections below.

#### Service plan cost {#business-price}




The cost of support under the service plan is fixed at $40.9836 per month plus 5% of the cost of paid resources consumed in the organization. The cost of support is charged to the same billing account to which the paid resource is attached.


Calculating the support fee (5% of the cost of consumed resources) includes your adjustments, subscriptions, and a committed volume of services under the billing account linked to your organization and paying for support services. When calculating the support fee (5% of the cost of consumed resources), the cost of Cloud Marketplace products is excluded as shown in [this cost calculation example](#business-example-one-ba-cvos).

#### Example of calculating the cost for an organization whose resources are paid from a single billing account {#business-example-one-ba}





If a customer consumes $800.00 worth of resources per month, the support cost will be:

> $40.9836 + $800.00 × 0.05 = $80.98
> 
> Total: $80.98

Where:
* $40.9836: Fixed amount per month.
* $40.00: 5% of the cost of consumed paid resources residing in the organization.

This amount will be charged to a single billing account.


#### Example of calculating the cost for an organization whose resources are paid from two billing accounts {#business-example-two-ba}

If an organization with an activated support service plan uses resources paid from different billing accounts, the percentage part of the plan will be charged to each billing account according to the cost of consumed resources. The fixed part will be paid by only one account: the one specified when selecting the _Business_ service plan.




An organization with an active Business service plan pays for resources from different billing accounts:

* Account 1: Consumes $400.00 worth of resources a month.
* Account 2: Consumes $80.00 worth of resources a month.

The fixed amount will only be paid by one of the accounts, e.g., Account 1.

The support cost will be:

> $40.9836 + $400.00 × 0.05 = $60.98 for Account 1.
> 
> $80.00 × 0.05 = $4.00 for Account 2.



#### Example of calculating the cost for an organization whose resources are paid from a single billing account, with a committed volume of services included {#business-example-one-ba-cvos}




If a customer consumes $960.00 worth of resources per month (out of which $160.00 is spent on the Cloud Marketplace resources) and also has reserved a [committed volume of services](../billing/concepts/cvos.md) in the amount of $80.00 per month on the billing account used to pay for their organization’s technical support, the support costs will add up to:

> $40.9836 + ($960.00 - $160.00 + $80.00) × 0.05 = $84.98
> 
> Total: $84.98

Where:
* $40.9836: Fixed amount per month.
* $44.00: 5% of the cost of consumed paid resources residing in the organization.

This amount will be charged to a single billing account.



### Premium {#premium}

The [Premium plan](https://yandex.cloud/en/support) includes all features of other plans and can be further enhanced to best suit your requirements. It may include troubleshooting tips for using Yandex Cloud services with third-party software, advice of a dedicated support engineer based on your Yandex Cloud usage scenario, and services of a personal technical manager.

## How to change your service plan {#change-service-plan}

Before activating, deactivating, or modifying your technical support service plan, as well as changing the billing account from which the payment will be debited, make sure you have the following roles:

* [organization-manager.organizations.owner](../organization/security/index.md#organization-manager-organizations-owner) for a cloud organization where you need to change or activate a paid support service plan.
* [billing.accounts.admin](../billing/security/index.md#billing-accounts-admin) or higher for your billing account if it is not linked to this cloud organization. This role will be inherited if your account is linked to the organization. For more information about roles and the link between a cloud organization and a billing account, see [Organization](../billing/concepts/organization.md).

To change your Yandex Cloud technical support service plan:

1. On the [support home page](https://center.yandex.cloud/support) in Support Center, select **Service plans** in the left-hand panel.
1. In the **Service plans** window, you will see the billing account to be debited for paid technical support plans.
1. Change your plan:
    * To switch to the **Basic** plan, click **Go**.
    * To switch to the **Business** plan, click **Go**.
    * To switch to the **Premium** plan, click **Send a request**.

If an organization with an activated support service plan uses resources paid from different billing accounts, the percentage part of the plan will be charged to each billing account according to the cost of consumed resources. The fixed part will be paid by only one account: the one specified when selecting the **Business** service plan. When you change your plan, you can choose the billing account to be used to cover the fixed portion of the plan. This option is only available to the organization owner. To change your billing account:

1. In the **Service plans** window, click **Edit** to select another account.
1. In the **Billing account** window, specify another account using one of the following methods:
    * Select an account from the list.
    * Create a new account.

Service plan upgrades are effective immediately; downgrades take effect on the first day of the following month. For information on current service plans and examples of how to calculate your costs, see [Pricing policy](pricing.md).
